This directory contains codes for computing transitions in:

     On Financing Retirement with an Aging Population
     Ellen McGrattan and Edward Prescott
     Staff Reports 472/473

The main codes for computing equilibria are trantf.f90 (and 
trantf_e.f90 in the case of more flexible preferences).  
Run plotgains.m or maketabs.m in Matlab to generate figures
and tables for the main paper and appendix. For the Gini
indices, load in the .dat file for the case of interest and
run plottrantf.m in Matlab and then plotgini.m.
