This directory contains data used by

   McGrattan and Schmitz. 1998.
   Explaining Cross-Country Income Differences.
   in J. Taylor and M. Woodford eds., Handbook of Macroeconomics

The data are all from published sources or public internet sites.  
Files with extension .doc provide descriptions of the data
(i.e., files that have extension .dat or .prn).

Matlab can be used to generate figures that appear in the chapter.
The Matlab file is figures.m.  Other matlab files called include
avgnan.m, gmean.m, maxnan.m, and hist0.m.
