LIMITATION OF DATA FOR 1950:

Due to the structure of the 1950 Census and resulting PUMS file the average earned income is based on a subset of the persons represented in each row of data. The Census Bureau collected income data from only one (1) Sample Line person in each household. This person varied within each household and could have been head of household, wife, child or unrealted individual. Therefore, the final column figure is based only on those persons represented by the Sample Line information.
